Year 5 at St Peter's were treated to a poetry workshop at Cardinal Hume Catholic School.
Led by the well-known children's poet, Christine Michaels, it gave the children the opportunity to explore the joys of different types of poetry. Following on from this workshop, the children are now working hard to create their own individual poems, as well as a joint effort poem by the whole class. Once the class poem is perfected, it will be performed at CHCS on June 25th in front of other schools from the cluster and parents.
We know we can rely on our Year 5 children to give it their best shot!
