Since September 2008, all schools in the cluster have been involved in a subsidy pathfinder project that has provided additional funding from the Government and enabled schools to extend the range of out of hours provision available. The fund has been used to subsidise the cost of residential and school events/trips (e.g. Newcastle Eagles Basketball game), as well as broadening the variety of school based activities now running before, during and after school hours. New clubs this year have included: ‘Rhyming Fun’, Film Making, Hip Hop Dance, Bike Club, Action and Adventure, ‘Rock-It-Ball’, Lacrosse, Fencing and a range of traditional team sports.
All the schools in the cluster review their out-of-hours programme of activities on a regular basis and welcome your views on what activities YOU would like arranged. so please contact me or the individual school with your suggestions.
