The Thomas Hepburn Cluster are currently part of the Subsidy Pathfinder. From 2008-2010 all schools in the Thomas Hepburn Cluster will benefit from £550,000 worth of funding, which has come to be known as 'Willy Wonka's magic ticket', as it provides out-of-school activities for children and young people in the cluster who could not afford to attend otherwise.
Children and young people from the cluster were invited to a Market Place Event at Thomas Hepburn Community School, which introduced them to an array of various activity providers, for example Stepney Bank Stables, Newcastle United Community Football Foundation and The Soundroom Music Project to name a few. Feedback from the children and young people attending the event was used to inform decisions made by the schools as to what activities to commission.
