Oakfield Primary School run a very successful Gardening Club for Year 2 children. The children have grown a wide range of vegetables in the vegetable patches, including potatoes, radishes and spring onions. They were so successful that this year the children hope to sell their produce to parents! Oakfield Infants also take part in Gateshead in bloom and are currently getting entries ready, the school had several winners last, so they now have a lot to live up to!
