In June, Kingsmeadow Steel Band auditioned to perform at Disneyland and were successful in meeting Disney’s high performance standards required. 28th October was the date given for a 12 noon performance on the Fantasy Stage in Fantasyland. 25 of our students performed—the highest number of performers from our school yet in a performance abroad.
We opened with the apt Carnival de Paris and performed some of our very well known repertoire before closing with All Star—which they all were.
It was commented by Disney that the students performed very well and they really enjoyed our performance. The students were very professional in their performance and really did themselves and the school proud!
Whilst we were in France, the group of 40 students also went up the Eiffel tower before heading back home.
