As part of the Community Access Scheme 2010, FREE holiday activities for all age ranges will be on offer at Fell Dyke and Brighton Avenue Primary Schools this summer including football, rugby, basketball and many more.
This summer Fell Dyke Community Primary School and Brighton Avenue Primary School will be joined by Joseph Swan School in opening their grounds to the public for free use of their outdoor facilities and equipment, providing children, young people, their families and the whole community with a safe place to play at the heart of their community.
Following the success of the Community Access Pilot in 2009, the schemes will continue to run into the future. The aim of the scheme is to make better use of school facilities by offering them for use to the wider community, out of school hours. The scheme also improves the accsessibility of open spaces in Gateshead and contributes to the Council's priority regarding Safer and Stronger Communities, as set out in Vision 2030.
See below for opening times and timetable of FREE holiday activites on offer.
